ABOUT US
FOR THE LOVE OF RUGBY
Established in 1993, the Phuket Vagabonds have proudly served as the sole representative of contact rugby in Phuket for over 30 years. Founded on a deep passion for the game and a commitment to community, the club has become a landmark for the sport in Southeast Asia, hosting international touring sides and competing across the region. Our dedication to excellence on the pitch is reflected in our recent accolades, including being crowned the Thailand 7s Champions for the Southern Region and finishing as runners-up in the Krabi Rugby 10s tournament.
Our club is built on a foundation of global camaraderie, bringing together a diverse membership of long-term Phuket residents, transient expatriates, and visiting tourists. We believe rugby is a universal language, and our gates are open to anyone with a love for the game, whether they are living on the island or just passing through. Currently, the Vagabonds boast a strong contingent of nearly 30 senior men’s players, all united by the spirit of sportsmanship and the unique brotherhood found within the sport.
Looking toward the future, the Phuket Vagabonds are dedicated to expanding the reach of the sport and establishing ourselves as Thailand’s premier social rugby club. This growth is anchored by our Junior Rugby Academy, which currently develops dozens of young athletes through an ongoing commitment to youth development and coaching clinics. By focusing on the continued development of our junior teams and our Academy commitment, we remain dedicated to nurturing the next generation of players and ensuring the legacy of Phuket rugby for decades to come.
